Frequently asked questions
Following
How do I choose which teams and games I see?
Open the Following tab and pick the competitions and teams you care about (they're grouped by sport). Upcoming, Live and Results then show games from what you follow. To follow just one game, tap the star on its card or in its details.
A sport or competition I want isn't there.
Tell us with Settings › Send feedback and name the competition. We add coverage based on what people ask for.
A score, time or fixture is wrong.
Scores and schedules come from third-party sports data providers and occasionally arrive late or wrong. Pull down to refresh, or try Settings › Clear cache. If it's still wrong, send feedback naming the game and we'll look into it. Kick-off times are shown in your time zone — check Settings › Time zone if they look shifted.
Alerts and Live Activities
How do alerts work?
Go to Settings › Alerts & Live Activities and tap Turn on alerts. Your defaults apply to games from the teams you follow and to games you've starred. To start with, they're a reminder an hour before, a final-result alert and a Live Activity, with the kickoff alert off; you can change each one, for example to a reminder a day before or to turn kickoff alerts on. A competition you follow stays quiet unless you set it to All games or give it its own Custom choices. Any team, competition or game can override the defaults, and the bell on a game card customises or mutes that game.
I'm not getting alerts.
- Make sure you've tapped Turn on alerts in Settings › Alerts & Live Activities.
- Check that notifications are allowed for Next Game in iOS Settings (Open iOS settings on the Alerts screen goes straight there).
- Make sure alerts aren't paused: Pause all alerts & Live Activities stops them on every device.
- No Spoilers blocks kickoff and final-result alerts and Live Activities while it's on. Reminders before a game still arrive.
- Alerts are only sent for games from teams you follow, games you've starred, competitions set to All games or Custom, and games you've turned on with the bell — and never for a game you've muted.
What are Live Activities?
On iPhone, a Live Activity pins a game's live score to your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, updating in the background. They're set up separately from alerts in Settings › Alerts & Live Activities: turn them on there, then set the Live Activity default to Automatic or Off, or switch off Automatically start on this device. You can also start one from a live game's details. iOS has its own Live Activities switch under the app's iOS settings.
No Spoilers
What does No Spoilers do?
Turn it on in Settings › No Spoilers (or with the eye button in the header) when you're watching later. Scores stay hidden behind a tap, and kickoff and final-result alerts and Live Activities are blocked while it's on; reminders before a game still arrive. Reveal a single game to see its score without switching the mode off. A reveal lasts until you close the app and doesn't turn that game's alerts back on, and alerts missed while No Spoilers was on aren't sent later.
Your account
Do I need an account?
No. You can start as a guest, and your follows and alerts are kept against that guest. Create an account (Apple, Google or email) from Settings to keep them when you change phones.
How do I delete my account or my data?
In the app, go to Settings › Delete account (or Delete guest data if you never created an account). This permanently deletes your account, follows, alerts and everything else saved to it, and can't be undone. If you signed in with Apple, iOS asks you to confirm with your Apple ID.
Can't get into the app? Email {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you. See the privacy policy for what's kept and for how long.
How do I hide the daily quiz?
Where the quiz is available, switch off Settings › Daily quiz and the card disappears from the game tabs.
