Terms of Use
The short version
- Next Game is a free sports schedule, scores and alerts app. Use it for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Scores, fixtures and other sports data come from third parties. We work hard to get them right, but they can be late or wrong — don't rely on them for anything important.
- There's no betting in Next Game, and nothing in it is betting advice.
- Tickets, merchandise, deals and news links take you to other businesses. They're responsible for what they sell and say.
- You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from Settings.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to the Next Game app and the nextgame.live website (together, “Next Game”). Next Game is run by {{OPERATOR_NAME}} (“we”, “us”), {{OPERATOR_ENTITY_TYPE}} based in New Zealand. By using Next Game you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.
2. Using Next Game
You can use Next Game if you're 13 or older. If you're under 18, please check that a parent or guardian is happy for you to use it.
Next Game is for your personal, non-commercial use. It's currently free and has no in-app purchases.
3. Your account
You can use Next Game as a guest, or create an account with Apple, Google or your email address so your follows and alerts carry across devices. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account.
You can delete your account, or your guest data, at any time from Settings › Delete account. What happens to your information then is described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Sports data is provided as-is
Schedules, live scores, results, standings, statistics, line-ups, TV listings, weather forecasts, news and quiz questions in Next Game come from third-party sources and automated processes. They can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and fixtures can move or be cancelled at short notice.
Alerts and Live Activities depend on your device, its settings, your connection and Apple's notification service, so they may arrive late or not at all. Please don't rely on Next Game where a mistake or a missed alert would cost you — check official sources for anything that matters, like travel to a game.
5. No betting
Next Game doesn't offer betting, gambling or odds, and nothing in it is betting, financial or other professional advice.
6. Third-party links and services
Next Game links to things run by other people: ticket sellers, merchandise stores, offers in the Deals tab, news articles, video highlights and broadcasters. When you follow one of those links you're dealing with that business, under its terms and privacy policy. We don't sell those products, aren't responsible for them, and a link isn't an endorsement unless we say so.
Offers in the Deals tab are either added by us or submitted by the businesses offering them. We review every submitted offer before it appears, but the business making an offer is responsible for it.
7. Things you send us
You may send us feedback or submit a deal for the Deals tab. You keep ownership of what you send. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, display and adapt it to run and improve Next Game — for example, to show an approved deal, or to act on a suggestion. If you send us an idea, we can use it without owing you anything.
Only send things you have the right to share, and nothing unlawful, misleading, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights. We may decline or remove anything you submit.
8. Fair use
Please don't:
- scrape, copy or resell our data, or access Next Game with bots or other automated means;
- try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get around the security of the app, the website or our servers;
- use Next Game to break the law or to harass, deceive or harm anyone;
- pretend to be someone else, or submit deals for a business you don't represent.
9. Our content and other people's trademarks
The Next Game app, website, name and design belong to us. You may use them only as these terms allow.
Team, league, competition and broadcaster names and logos belong to their owners and are shown to identify them. Next Game isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any team, league or governing body unless we say so.
10. Changes to the app
We're always changing Next Game: adding and removing sports, competitions and features. We may change, suspend or stop any part of it, and we don't promise it will always be available or error-free. If we ever plan to charge for something, we'll tell you first, and you'll never be charged without agreeing to it.
11. Our responsibility to you
Next Game is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about it beyond those in these terms, and we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by inaccurate or late sports data, missed alerts, or third-party products and websites. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to NZ$100.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded — for example under New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986, or the Australian Consumer Law.
12. Ending
You can stop using Next Game at any time, and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we need to close to protect other people or comply with the law.
13. If you got the app from Apple
If you downloaded Next Game from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); otherwise, Apple has no warranty obligation for the app. Apple isn't responsible for any claims relating to the app — including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection or privacy claims, or claims that it infringes someone's intellectual property. You confirm you're not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also follow the App Store's own terms.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts can hear any dispute about them. If you live elsewhere, you may also have the protection of your local consumer law and courts. If something goes wrong, please contact us first — most problems are quicker to sort out that way.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Next Game changes. We'll update the date at the top, and if a change is significant we'll take reasonable steps to let you know before it takes effect. If you keep using Next Game after that, you're agreeing to the new terms.
